I am leaving in an hour - off for 5 weeks to cycle to Africa

I have wangled 5 weeks off work, and am leaving in an hour to cycle to North Africa. Certainly as far as Tarifa, and hoping to get a ferry to Ceuta and then back from Tangiers

hi jay, enjoy your tour,
i am in Albufeira Portugal (The the algarve) I left uk on the 17 April to do something close to what your doing and a bit more as i planed 5 months to ride, I did 3220m in 64 days and 8 country's then got to where i am now. i got offed a job with in 24 hours and took it. Then i fail in love with my beautiful Russian boss and have been here 17 weeks. I have just renewed my passport as i only had 5 months on it. I have now started to plan for Portugal to japan as i never planed to stop touring or meeting someone. gracias! Now in the lovely town of Salamanca. Due to the lack of campsites and a lack of desire to camp wild, I am just boxing up a load of stuff to send home, reducing to two rear panniers.

The stealth camping thing means keeping going till sunset which is 8pm, so a long/late day, and there are cheap hotels from what I can see.
