Glad you're ok

I wish I had video footage of my bike motorcycle crash, the witnesses described the impact as an 'explosion' with me being thrown 10 feet in the air and as I was knocked unconscious on impact I remember nothing to this day.....on second thoughts I'm glad I don't as I would of never gone out on two wheels again!!

I think the bike made it clear she wanted a divorce. Like all good divorces she tried to kill you. :P

The Costa Clyde rain magnet.
Scary how quick that happened, and glad you're ok..
I have a CBF600 and but for the grace of God etc.. As others have said, that looked like a diesel or oil induced slide. Not much else it could have been as you were going in a straight line. Heavy braking in a straight line doesn't throw you off like that!

Ditto, I reckon it must have been diesel. Roundabouts are buggers for it, though usually on the roundabout itself rather than an approach road. In the wet, there's often a tell tale rainbow slick to be seen but as you seemed to be riding into the sun, the glare would probably have stopped you seeing it.

The white road markings/lines can be similarly dangerous in the wet, but you were well clear of those so that wasn't it.

I've come off in ice (twice) and that's similar. The bike just goes on you, and there's nothing you can do about it. It's pure luck if you stay upright.

It's sadly one of the inherent dangers of biking and I'm just pleased you're okay.

Ooh, I felt that. I hope you don't have too much discomfort as you recover.

I did a similar thing on my Bandit a few years ago, low-siding on an icy roundabout. It's amazing how fast, and hard, you thud the tarmac.

I wish you a speedy recovery.
