I think everyone has specific words that trip them up every time. For me it's queue - all those u's and e's (or is it e's and u's?) I used to have a mental blank over 'business' too, until a kind friend once said 'It's just busy-ness ...then change the y for an i'. Sorted! But I know I'll never get queue.

Crowd is the one for me. Why that damned w when you have cloud, proud, loud etc? I have a moment's hesitation each time I come to write it

'Liaise' always has me struggling. And I only recently noticed Felixstowe has an 's' in it. (Probably not one that will affect many I guess!)

I always forgot whether I play 'Soduko' or 'Sudoku'! The way that I found to remember which is to think 'Zulu plays Sudoku' - two 'u's each. I still hesitate or get it wrong when saying the word.

My spelling is generally good, but my typing leaves a bit to be desired. I just seem incapable of typing some particular words.

I worked for a long time in a job where I had to write letters to customers referring to a "part", which I always seemed to type as a "pert".........

when you see somebody that you know in a queue you shout ooo eeee ooo eeee to them, that way you get the spelling (think that is in the memory banks from junior school!)

I'd be knackard without the spell checker. At one point the spell checker on my computer stopped being able to spell and I ended up asking my Good Lady how to spell words.

I always get muddled up between d'embarquement and debarquement, especially recently when Mrs Whiskywheels had mal de debarquement following our crossing of the Bay of Biscay last week in severe gales. Honestly, it makes me sick.
