It was definitely a dream! Bizarre and completely out of the blue.

But sometimes you do get those emotional dreams that affect you when you wake up. It's just one of those probably.

You've really got to stop having those dreams about me. I've warned you before...

Now my dreams are just really odd all the time.

I used to have a series of dreams that linked up like a recurring story. This was when I was a teenager when I was trying to practice lucid dreaming with an old book my grandad gave me.

They all involved an imaginary town, that didn't always look the same, but I knew it was the same place. Once I was a kind of freedom fighter defending an old Indian guy from being evicted from a cave high above the town. It ended up with a fight in a china plate shop or factory. One was a very strange dream in involving a two old shops on the top of a hill, sex with a hermaphropdite, and a nice cup of tea. Another involved a locked-down hospital in which everyone looked exactly the same (when I saw the video for Aphex Twin's 'Come to Daddy' a few year's later, it was a bit like that...). There were many others...

...........that I was walking along a narrow alley between whitewashed houses and there was a cobra coming towards me - head up, hood out. It then slithered up the pavement and started to go up the wall of a house where - it turned into a huge butterfly!

I always dream weird and vivid dreams. What's the weirdest dream you have had?

I'm into dreams...

Thats seems like it means that something that will deceive you will turn out for the best in regards to what you heartlyfully want/desire...

A bit like 'things aren't as bad as they seem' type of thing? I am well impressed!

I had a dream once that I invented a new type of onion bhaji that was cube shaped and combined with corned beef. It was quite a success and saved the indian restaurant I worked at.

I have quite a lot of 'geographical' dreams, and quite a lot involve cycling. They often involve quite vivid recollections of the layout of roads, towns, landmarks, etc., and for days afterwards, if I remember well enough, I'm scratching my head asking, is this a real place I've been to in my life, which is just coming back to me in the dream?

But sometimes they're simply bizarre. Once I was dreaming of cycling out of Brighton, westwards, by a road that goes over the top of the cliffs. But as anyone from the area will tell you, there are no sea cliffs to the west of Brighton, the cliffs are to the east...

And once I dreamt that I was cycling into Portsmouth. From the south. Work that one out!

That's got to be a sign - have you tried making one?

Rather like perhaps some of the other posts on here have alluded to on themes, the vivid dreams of which I remember are usually about food! I don't do cycling dreams or dreams about water themed things and so on. I had a dream about a chocolate cake making competition, that wasn't weird, just nice .

I'd try one of those. Once at least.

I had a dream that the spider in the doorway to the greenhouse invited me to her wedding (even more worrying since I HATE spiders). Wasn't sure if I was going to go but in the end told her I would love to go.

I once dreamt I was a postman in the Duddon Valley, at one farm the sheep were so sick of people chasing them they had learned to balance on each others backs to form the shape of a giant bull to frighten people away. The really clever bit was that they had got the sheepdog to be the bull's nose so if anyone still got too close it could bite them.

That has me giggling away in my corner of the office at work... it's flippin' amazing what the brain comes up with when asleep. I mean, who on earth could think of something like that when awake? I used to keep a dream diary, but the more you write them down, the more you remember them and I'd be writing furiously for about half an hour every morning. Gave that up after about a year! I dreamed last night that I went to view a large house that only cost £46500 because it was flooded with glacial water in the lounge...
