Does anyone 'wake up' and not know if they're still dreaming or awake? Quite recently I 'woke up' to find a man standing at my bed staring at me (I live alone). I screamed and kicked at him but he didn't go away, just slowly stopped being visible. The next night there was a girl on my bed... I also often wake up, open my eyes and see blue lights 'buzzing' round my room. That was a few months ago, and since then I have to sleep with the covers over my head because I don't want to see anything! I've also been known to sleep walk, have woken up to find myself in the middle of a push up, have got up for a pee but spent ages trying to find the door of my room because in my head, I'm in a different room with a different layout, quite often freak my partner out no end by sitting bolt upright at night and staring into a corner of the room before lying back down still peacefully asleep. One of the absolute WEIRDEST experiences was waking up and not knowing who I was for about 30 seconds... Mental or what??

It's been nearly 50 years for me! ;)

Last night I dreamt I was climbing a tree. I took hold of one bough to pull myself up, there was a big "crack!" and I woke up with blood running from my forehead. I had pulled on the headboard, split it and pulled it down on me.

A very vivid one a few nights ago. I'd lost my car (or rather: a hire-car) somewhere in a strange city in France. I often have dreams about losing my car - or my bike - or my luggage - why is that? Anyway, I couldn't remember what sort of car it was, nor what colour, nor the slightest idea where I'd parked it. So I had the idea of climbing a high hill or tower or something, from where I could see all the cars parked in the city, press the remote blip-key, and see which one flashed its indicators. When I pressed the button, several cars flashed and one or two of them caught fire. ;) I could see the panic-stricken driver of one of them, escape from his motor just in time. Eventually I located what I thought was my car, but someone had chained a motorbike to it so I couldn't drive it away.

In case you've read this far and forgotten what this thread is about: only a dream.

I have two recurring dreams. The first is I am being chased by a demon in the area I lived and played in as a child. There are usually other people with me, usually friends or my brothers/sister and we are searching for something which we must find before it gets us. It hasn't got me yet, since I usually wake up before it does. I have managed to tell myself in the past that it is a dream and change the outcome to something pleasurable.

The second is the age old falling off a cliff one, which I used to have occasionally but now I have quite regularly and which is made worse by the drugs I take.

On a not unrelated point, my uncle had to give up meditation as the out of body experiences he was having were, to be frank, scaring the shoot out of him. He regularly used to float out above his body and travel in what he experienced as another 'dimension'. It was the dark parts of these sessions that forced him to give it up. Probably did too much acid as a kid.

I dreamed last night... I got on a boat to heaven, and by some chance I had brought my dice along. And there I stood, and I hollered "Someone fade me"......

(Sorry. I was in a school show once.....)

I once dreamed that I was a giant, but everything was to scale, so it wasn't any different from a normal dream ;)

A weird experience I've had a few times after waking up is forgetting I have a body. I wake up, move an arm, then I'm like 'eh?!... oh yeah!'

I kept a dream journal for quite a bit a few years ago, I used to be into Lucid Dreaming, I had some weird experiences with a technique called 'WILD', where you keep your mind awake, while your body falls asleep. I've never taken acid(or want to), but I'm guessing the experience is pretty similar.

When I was a kid i once dreamt that I did a poo in the shape of the British Isles ;)

Did it include the isles of Wight and Man? And the Scilly Isles / Channel Isles.

Sorry, but when it comes to British pooh dreamage scenarios I'm a stickler for detail.

Sadly I only ever have bad dreams about work, which is probably telling me something
