As stated above I fancy a trip in the middle of the year!
But struggling for ideas if I'm honest! I was thinking of somewhere like the Isle of Skye, or Isle of man... Skye is a little out of my budget at the minute...
But you get the gist of what I want...Nice roads, brilliant scenery, preferably the coast! Was thinking of camping and just loading up some panniers, but staying somewhere like a b&b or cheap hotel isnt out of the question if people know anywhere nice!!
Cheers in advance guys!

Meanwood, Leeds
Northumberland. It's got the lot.

How long for ??
What type of distance/hills ??

Cheap train ticket to Oban.
Clockwise around Mull to Fishnish ferry.
Then onto the Corran ferry.
Up through Glenn Coe, across Ranoch Moor, down Glen Orchy.
Follow Loch Awe then hit coast again at Crinan.
Follow minor roads/track around the coast then on to ferry to Arran.
Ferry to Ardrossen, cheap train home.

That's around 260 miles. Mostly nice roads, brilliant scenery, preferably the coast!

Cheers for the input guys!
Not sure how long yet, can book time off work around what I choose so...
Distance and hills arent much of a factor for me, ive done 120 mile days in the past, albeit not shortly after an overindulgent Christmas and New year

I have done Walton in Somerset to Sandy Bay in Devon which was about 98 km and return leg 102 kn

The Isle of Man is good for cycle touring unless you want to do big miles without retracing your steps. I based myelf in Douglas and day-toured from there. I had been concerned that the roads would have been busy with motorbikes, but this was not the case and the ones I saw were all being driven considerately.
They have padding on roadside trees, bridge parapets and walls, quite a nice touch if you are in the habit of running out of road on the way back from the rural pubs:whistle:.

Yeah I'm thinking of Isle of Man at the end of February...even if its just for a long weekend.
Looking on google maps you can ride very close to the coast all around...so I was thinking of doing the circumference and then split the middle over the peaks? Do I imagine correctly?
