to tell my fellow CC'ers that this sometime forum lurker, sporadic forum poster, general question asker and debate joiner inner, is going to become a daddy for the very first time in roughly 8 weeks time...i've not yet started to panic but have, in the past few days begun to have the dawning realisation that life is never going to be the same again:eek: that is all i have to say on this topic for now :highfive:

Congratulations :hugs:

This should be in the for sale thread along with your bikes your Mrs will soon be making you get rid of

Congrats though mate.
interesting you should make that point. i have indeed sold one of my bikes but that was less to do with baby being almost here and more to do with the fact that it was left, more often than not, on its own in the back of the garage while i took it's stablemate out for hours on end. it deserved better than that and so i sold it. it is also interesting (probably more so) that, without even the faintest whiff of an argument, my wife agreed to allow me to purchase a somewhat more expensive bicycle than my current bicycle with the only caveat being i had to sell current bicycle first to help fund it...and that is how you go from owning two bikes worth a couple of grand to owning one bike worth about 2 and a half grand :thanks:

oh yeh, i guess i should mention i sold the ST and bought a C-Max which put me in the good books...:shy:

My cycling is currently limited to commuting with a 3 year old and 6 month old! They both love bikes and cycling though!

Do I need to get the spray plaster out?
sleep, everybody is talking about sleep...babies sleep too...right?

Depends! Eldest from 4 months old to now at 7 yrs sleeps from 7 til 7 as long as a baby he had his bum in water at 6 in the evening he was good to go, (that water got quite inventive he did not care if it was a paddling pool, bucket, sink, crate, bath as long as it was water) Youngest oh my she was a shocker, she is only just sleeping through the night and is still not a good sleeper she is 3 yrs & a couple of months.

Yours will be just as unique with their own little quirks on sleeping, eating, everything really. Enjoy every moment & congratulations

p.s. Do not buy baby instruction books, they have not read the book, they do what they are going to do not what the book says!
