I hate commuting on Sunday

So yesterday morning, it was glorious, and very quiet on the roads on my way to work. I absolutely flew in. Even the lights were on my side, and shockingly no buses tried to run me over...;)

So why did I not enjoy my commute yesterday?

Because (I was always told never to start a sentence with because. I'm a rebel!) I was cycling away from the Campsies (our local Pyrenees:smile:) and I saw about 6 or 7 cyclists heading the other way towards the Campsies. I was heading the wrong way. I didn't want to go to work, I wanted to go for a big long cycle ride......

Oh I hate cycling to work on Sundays.....:cry:

(I suppose it could have been worse, I could have been driving to work!)

Me too.

I had to pop into work a few hours yesterday and saw numerous cyclists going in the other direction (away from the city). How envious I was.

I only good thing about working on a Sunday is the clear cycle into work away from town on the cycle path around the bay. People pay to holiday here and cycle around the Bay!

Clearly you need a better job, because then you'd love to cycle in on any day.

Wasn't it Churchill who said "Find a job you love and never work a day in your life"? This is my job. It's extremely rare that I don't look forward to going in.

Ah, if only it were that simple.

There is a possibility of a job change in the future which would certainly be challenging/exciting/risky.... however, it would probably mean that I would cycle commute a lot less.

Unless of course, someone wants to employ a cyclist, cycling around all day filming his rides.

Aye you have to be like Churchill and inherit wealth, so that you don't need to work...
...but he does work! He does all those adverts. Why do people leave money to pets anyway?:laugh:
