Nope, I love it. I love cold, windy, wet weather. I like the reminder of our islands northern latitude. I love the feeling of man v nature. I most especially love several feet of snow, when all the people who take the pith out of my truck all year suddenly want a lift in it and I can tell them to fark off.

They are not drawing in just yet, latest sunset-by a few seconds, depending on how far north you live-is a few days after summer solstice, just as earliest sunrise is a few days before, due to the earth's orbit not being circular, the tilt of the earth etc.

Summer hasn't been fantastic so far this year. It was chilly in th pub garden yesterday and the nights are proper cold.

Usually we have had an outbreak of hot weather by now and then August is dreary. Let's hope things improve before the days get noticeably shorter.

On the plus side, I am spending a fair amount of time in Iceland right now and it's 24 hour daylight up there!
I know the feeling - I have an old van that my wife quite despises, but with it's front wheel drive and relatively narrow tyres makes it surprisingly capable on snowy roads, where as my wife's slinky rear wheel drive german automobile with its ludicrously wide tyres becomes completely unusable - all of a sudden I am getting asked for a lift...
And do you risk telling her to fark off like @Drago does?
