That's a popular myth. I thought that I'd got away with a Flying Gate colour matched to my Dave Yates Randonneur (bright orange) but it was spotted.

I didn't even try with my Woodrup Chimera. It's so beautiful, it has permission to live in the house.

It's very true. I changed the wheels on my 'messing about bike' The same black colour the same tyres. Spotted. "How much?" "See that pair of boots you just bought Darling..." Lanzecki : Fighting fire with fire since 1998 and getting burnt every time.....

Good luck.
Have all you chaps married women that don't understand your cycling desires?:bicycle:
I cannot believe that there are so many unreasonable women out there. I have a history of buying bikes, running shoes, horses and the occasional sports car with nary a second look from hubby. Then again, he knew what he was getting into when he asked me out.
I have not commented on his sudden decision to buy little plastic soldiers and play with them on the table top with his mates (what is the tape measure used for btw), nor very expensive climbing shoes, new rope or another new harness. Nor do I whinge about the amount of manga DVDs he has or the amount of times he watches the daft things. I didn't complain when he bought a new sword from Paul Binns, or a new axe head. I didn't whinge about the new ring mail either. Himself is currently messing about with his new dremmel.

You guys must be so unlucky to have found partners who you have to ask permission from to get a bike, or have to trade decorating for a triban. If himself wanted one, he only has to order it.
I have a sister by the way.

Do what i did . just bought my new bike the same colour as the one i had for years , the wife is still non the wiser.
Then again it did take two years saving in the secret tin that all blokes should have tucked away in the shed/garage.
