After 12 months of 'no job' and silly money making ideas like selling stuff from poundland on ebay (and selling most of my bike components and clothing); I finally have a job - 18 month contract and a happy wife and kids!!! Also more access to CC (but only on my breaks of course).

Many congrats. I know how that feels after a period of not working last year - especially when it's something you enjoy. And has benefits over your previous which mine has though I didn't completely go looking for this one, it found me as much as anything, so it was a double bonus. It's a contract but after an initially month back in September I am still there now....finger crossed that it may continue and that you enjoy yours.

Good for you, it's bloody scary when you're out of work. I've got application forms in everywhere as my boss has cut my hours almost in half and is trying to bully me out of my job.

I defo think you should treat yourself and the family when you get paid.
