She did a great job. Will you send her round to do mine? Its great having kids......sometimes.
She will hopefully keep cleaning the bike for a while yet. I am in the process of getting her riding and she keeps her balance bike spotless

Wonderful stuff @BigAl68 She'll maybe go through a "bikes are so uncool phase" but it is now deep in her psyche so once the hormones settle down she'll be well set for life. Few years yet so enjoy that cutie while you can.

She has loved watching bike racing since she was about one and now loves all things cycling related. I hope she is more into them than her big brother (9 years old) as he thinks bikes are boring it seems. Going to get my old hybrid back up and running after payday as someone has given me a child seat and then we are off on some weekend rides together.

Funnily enough I used to have a pink and yellow bike!

A local shop had an early Saracen frame that had had v brake bosses welded on from the original roller brakes on the chain stays.

It was then used as a demo for a powder coat.

When the shop had finished with it I got it for a song and built it up, part build and part learning experience

Some 30 years later it has now been resprayed yet again, and is still going strong

Problem was that some celebrity called Adam Hart Davis started using a pink and yellow bike on TV and it looked as if I was copying him .... even though mine was the original

PS...

I met Adam Hart Davis at the 2001 HPV World Championships where he came up, shook my hand vigorously, and said "God to meet you Richard"

Is being mistaken for Richard Ballantyne a bragging point?

Aw - that's just super. Shame about big bro' tho - but you never know, he may begin to feel left out and want to join in

Etiquette!

One should never ask a lady her weight, even at this tender age...
sorry, i thought that complimenting her slender figure may be exempt from this. but maybe not as it turns out

well, it wouldn't be now days as he popped his clogs last year
Cheers Ed

Oh my, how sweet!
Buy clear lube and stick some red food dye in it
Don't want to be that person, but this won't work. Normal food dye is water soluble, so you'd just get red blobs sitting at the bottom of the bottle.

I'm sure you could get oil soluble dyes, but it's probably cheaper just to source some red oil.

He has said hello to me before but just the hello to a stranger cycling by (though as he lived nearby one of my friends it wasn't unusual to see him).

Back to the OP, she's cute!!

Nice one. Looks like another bottle of lube to go in the tool box then but if it makes my little bike mad daughter happy then it will be worth every penny.
