I have been robbed

My purse was stolen today, it had all the money I had saved up.
There were only us and one other customer in the shop, plus 2 members of staff and I cannot believe that it would have been one of them as we know them quite well.

I am absolutely gutted. Have spent the afternoon alternating between hoping that the thieving bastard chokes and feeling really miserable. I have battling my depression of late but I feel that I have really been knocked for 6. What with my purse going and a friend yelling at me in my own home the other day, I am feeling a bit scattered.

Off for another little cry now.

That's terrible, and I'm not surprised you feel miserable. Not that it's much comfort, but try to remember that you will in time get more money, but however much time passes, nothing will ever make them other than what they are, which is abject lowlife scum. Karma will deal with them.

Yes, but at least they have to look at themselves every day, one day they'll regret what they did. It is good advice not to take it personally.

No CCTV in the shop and only one door in and out which is right at the front.
I am wondering if it may have fallen from my pocket when I laid my coat down for a few minutes and then when I picked the coat up again that the purse was left behind, but the shop guy was with me then and I am sure that he would have noticed it.
Will report in the morning. Went to police station earlier and only one person on, and the queue was out of the door and I needed to get to my afternoon appointment.

It was not a small amount in there, it was in the region of £250. Plus cards (cancelled) and some other bits and pieces of sentimental value. I know that I had the purse in the shop as I took an item out of it while in the shop.
