Shame :sad:chin up Gel, summat'll come up.
TBH, I am not fussed if something doesn't come up. I am knackered. I've had no downtime since I broke my wrist in 2010 and then I spent the time worried sick as the bank made arrangements to repossess the house. We sold it to our neighbour in the end so that was a relief. I am exhausted, absolutely shattered and need a break. We can't get away for weekends or anything as Hubster doesn't finish dialysis until about 10 on a Saturday night and I am at work for 9am on a monday morning.

I am going to chat to my mate in Devon and see if it's worth going and holding out for a full contract as she tells me that the wages are better on a full contract. My savings will more than make up 6 months worth of shortfall. According to govt. website, I should get working tax credits. I looked at the page concerning the upto date WTC and it says that I am eligable for £74 a week WTC. Friend in Devon can tell me if there are actually any perks to the job i.e. do I get free broadband, discounted tv or phone line.

I am keeping options open anyway. Still not making any quick decisions. I've realistically got a couple of weeks before I have to make any lasting decisions. Devon would be great, it's really just the financial side of things.

You can use the move as a great excuse to get a new wardrobe, arrrrrrr Jim lad!
Deleting my post as some one on here is making assumptions about my character based on one post and has decided to hassle me about it and will not apoligise when i responded stating my reason for the post .
So rather than sink to their level i am removing my comment that even the member mentioned in my original post has not raised an issue with.

Unfortunately the member refuses to accept he has made a error in character judgement and refuses to apologize so i can no longer continue to be an active member of CC

I think that about one thousand people visit this site each day. If one of them is, in your opinion, alledgedly, an obnoxious twerp*, that is not a reason for you to leave CC. You can report their posts, and/or their messages to you, to a Team member aka Moderator. You can then just not respond to the culprit.

I am guessing here, that the culprit has verbally and/or unfairly criticised others on this forum. Do not let the bullies or the twerps win!

You know your own character and temperament. If someone else cannot accept that they may have made a mistake, that is their loss. Do not make this your loss by letting them win.

* other more strongly-worded descriptions may be available.

Come on now, just look across at your thread about your heart scan and see all the friendly, concerned, non-judgemental replies.

I had a break from CC when someone was a bit horrid to me. I realised I'd let it get to me in a weird way - they were making odd judgements about my lifestyle and I didn't want to explain myself to a perfect stranger. I thought "oh no, that's it, I'm off" but I missed all the good stuff and came back, feeling a bit less likely to get upset now. Perhaps you made a remark which struck someone as iffy and they over-reacted to it - really easy on t'interweb where you can't read faces or tones of voice.

Have a little break but don't leave.

In case anyone’s trying to put a name to it, it’s me that Cybernight’s talking about.

Last night I send him a PM in response to a post he’d made, I questioned the meaning behind it and pointed out how I thought it could be interpreted. For what it’s worth I’d find it hard to believe that it was intended that way, but never the less I still thought that it could be interpreted that way by others.

He told me his explanation of the post, which I admitted then did make sense to me, I also pointed out that had that extra bit been added to the post there would have been no ambiguity, but he also thought I’d insulted him and wanted an apology for that.

I don’t think I did any kind of character assassination, just asked a question which I accepted the answer to.

I made one post, then answered the answer to that, I don’t think that counts as hassling and bullying.

Have they made you a formal job offer in writing yet? Could you not negotiate for a little more money or a full time contract? If they like and want you then this may be possible. Norfolk to Devon is quite a change. Do you have a plan B if you went?
