Exactly - MTB's are like riding a sofa, or dead slug on the road (off road another thing) - thin tyres....hummph I'm riding baloon 23mm ones these days as roads are so bad.... 18mm or 20mm in my day (10 years ago) - I still have some 18mm road TT tubulars on a set of wheels...... totally dead now and soon to get a rebuild
