Here for rides.
Had a chat and a race with a Bullitt on the way into work this morning. Guy, a Brit as it happens, married too a Dane, said once you get used to it steering becomes second nature and makes your 'normal' bike feel really weird and twitchy.

However, on looking on fleabay I came across a Surly Big Dummy for sale "BIN/Best Offer" in a seaside town not far from home. Seems to be the right size, OK spec, OK condition for a two year old cargo bike. Boring colour but you can't have everything.

Offer made. Offer accepted. I figure if it turns out not to be up to the job then being a more conventional bike than a Long John selling it on to some reactionary UK cyclist will be much easier. ;)

And its a Surly so what is not to like? (Really must finish building my surly ss)

Both of the bikes above have horrendously long chain runs, I think chain life would suffer a lot. Maybe fit a slipper tensioner on one or both runs? Just for support really.
