Christmas is coming, and we have bought no food or sod all in preparation. This afternoon though, I got a call from a hospital where I occasionally go and deliver training, I have won a Christmas hamper worth over £100

That was 50p well spent.

That is, until you find out the hamper is not actually a food hamper, but is full of pet care products!

Can I have the apricot jam and the tinned pressed ham!

Yes, those oval tins of stuff that you only ever see at Christmas. My mum won a hamper once years ago. All over Christmas there was this funny smell somewhere in the kitchen (not the post-sprouts effect) and finally we pinned it down to the oval ham; the tin had been pierced by something, and the ham inside had gone off xx(

Or the wicker basket is worth £100 and the contents is some scrunched newspaper.

Joking apart, Maggot, well done.

I spent 50p on a raffle ticket many years ago, and won the first prize - a new television. At the time my tv was over twenty years old, so it was a very welcome surprise.

How much does it cost to Oldham?

Is that not a scandinavian delicacy?

Tinned ham is the only foodstuff that causes me to have a migraine.
