My sister and I had an Abba annual from the 1970's - we were teenagers in the 80's, and so Abba would be deeply uncool. Whenever one of us went away, on an overnight school trip, or to stay with friends, when of course maintaining an air of 'coolness' was v.important, we knew that the other would have secreted the Abba annual into her bag/rucksack.
Somehow, it would fall out at the most inappropriate moment, rendering you the laughing stock of the bus/ class.

I've did the classical 'Slip a library book into an unsuspecting friend's bag' trick, but nothing more than that I can remember.

D.T. class, (woodworking to the oldies), we used to wait for someone to leave their bag unattended, then put a piece of wood inside it, and then nail that piece of wood to the desk. Was always good fun to see their reaction as they ran back to their bag for a quick getaway at the end of lesson.

When I was at school, it used to be considered good fun to tie the cords on the hood of someone's anorak to the bars on the back of the seats on the bus
