If its tech type affection we are after (and in a similar vain), then I just love the array function in sketchup...and Layers in most any software (sketchup and photoshop are the tops!)

Also, the indefatigable undo button.

Friend of mine was putting up shelves this summer and dropped his spirit level, smashed the bracket that was meant to hold the shelf. He told me that his first reaction was to reach for the undo button.

I thought I saw a fleeting glance of a naked women at the front door of the building opposite my office...in my mind I reached for the rewind button.

Funny how technology becomes so common to us. You can see how people are concerned about our de-humanisation as a result of technology.

Jonny J, yes, and scarily, years ago when I worked in a boring office and used to play computer games, I'd sometimes find myself reaching for imaginary space bars and function keys whilst driving home in the dark, my mind still half caught up in the delusion that I was still in the game, not in my car. Luckily I never had to hit the 'hyperspace' button like in Defender or Asteroids just before a crash…

I have found myself reaching for 'undo' in real life too, once or twice!
Is it an urban myth that teenagers are so conditioned to texting that they now habitually ring doorbells and press lift buttons with their thumbs?
