Maybe the people who run the premiership will stop claiming it's the greatest league in the world now, something it's never been.
Which do you think is the best then?

I'm not sure it isn't. It is certainly one of the best two or three. It has a strength in depth down to eighth ot ninth that few leagues can match.

Barca and Real are certainly awesome sides, but the Primera Liga peters out after the top few. it all gets a little SPL, although not quite that extreme.

Germany also lacks the strength in depth. France too.... Italy is an interesting case; I've never watched a game there so I'm not sure I can comment.... but that won't stop me:

My Italian friends hark back to the late 80s and early 90s when Milan and others swept all before them. They are reluctant to see the absence of English teams during those years as anything other than a coincidence...

I do sometimes wonder if the EPL is all it's cracked up to be.... 0-0 against City at (the Replacement) Highbury last year when the highlight was cheering Vieira while he was warming up....

But... if not the Premier League, which one? MLS?

The Swiss league.

My reply to anything positive anyone says about Switzerland:

What that fat bloke who stole Penecillin said in that rubbish, old black & white film about post-war Vienna with the funky music and the atmospheric lighting. That bit when they're in the funfair and he says that stuff about clocks and stuff....

I used to watch lots of premiership football but it slowly dawned on me that the best players did not want to come here unless they were past their best and good young foreign players always seemed to using the premiership as a means to an end. Now we have ended up with a national team full of dross who do not seem to have any pride in playing for their country.
The championship is a far more interesting league than the premiership as the difference between the top and the bottom is not too big.

M U are a good side but they ceased to be a great side a few seasons ago.

Its not exactly good news for City who despite the billions may in fact peak far below their cash book potential.

A little bit of vidic on the floor.
A little bit of nasri on the side.
A little bit of rooney shooting wide.
A little bit of Mario having a laugh.

I've learnt an important lesson from those pictures: if you want to build a shelter to survive an apocalypse, use the same material they use for "keep left" bollards.

They were going to do the same with Salford's well-known locations......but there aren't any !

The best night ever for Bolton fans....United AND City knocked out on the same evening. It's so much more satisfying to follow a team that's poor and crap than it is to follow teams that are rich and crap. UP THE TROTTERS !

Oh yeah......and where are Bolton Wanderers in the Prem ? ........... BOTTOM
