LOL -was good and the social worker 'person' nearly 'lost it' in the meeting - tourettes by proxy...ho ho !!

Must be hard, but the folk were trying to sort it.

Agreed, it must be very hard finding a coping mechanism if you suffer like this.

That said, I remember watching that when it was first broadcast, and whether it's right or wrong, I had not laughed so much for a long time. I was literally crying laughing, but I do feel bad at the same time so does that make it ok

The other one that got me inappropriately laughing was one on narcolepsy where the meeting of the narcolepsy society had three minute takers in the hope that at least one of them would be awake at any one time.

A colleague from a few years back would tell me about her younger brother that suffered from tourettes. She said that she loved going shopping with him! It goes without saying that their relationship was such that laughing it off was part of the coping mechanism.

Staying loosely on topic, has anyone read the Modern Toss books? Terribly juvenile and un-pc, but it makes me giggle.

Keeping things terribly un-pc, they weren't called that when I was younger, oh I see!

I taught a lad that had Tourettes, laughter really is the only thing you can do in some situations.. His favourite Tshirt said "I have Tourettes" on the front "Whats your #ucking excuse?" on the back, i still use some of his 'quotes' to this day x

I was once in a slow moving post office queue* with a Tourette's sufferer in front of me.

The one old dear couldn't take it any longer and quickly left while shaking her head.

* Is there any other speed?
