The weather on the way home was great, sunny, a slight breeze (tailwind) and clear roads (not that they are very busy anyway!).

I did my best time ever ... 12.8 miles in 40 minutes, just over 19 mph average

Blimey makes my 14.5 this morning look truly pathetic although I did stop at the traffic lights.

My ride to work started 5.15am 12miles average 17.2mph 38.45, return leg, loved the sun, 12.8 miles average down to 16.2mph 46.55, mostly up hill on the way home but spring is so good.

yes, and I did obey the traffic laws.

19mph great average.

Did the most miles Iv done in years, just short of twenty in one hour twenty today. It was that nice a day my face is glowing red with sun burn, but Im chuffed to bits  Spring does seem to be here.

I had an absolutely brilliant ride home this evening. It was sunny and warm enough for short sleeves, little wind, the traffic want't too bad. The new bike has really made a difference as well. I was grinning from ear to ear most of the way home!

I wonder if folk who drive home in their cars ever get that feeling.

Oh, and I think I probably had my fasted commute home ever as well. Averaged 15.6 mph which I think is pretty good considering it is mostly uphill and I have to top for traffic lights!

Iv been trying to guess what size your tyres are mag as you look down on your vid? As Im using my tourer and find it comfortable, are yours the skinny type, and just how comfortable is it. Im asking because I noticed theloafers were the skinny type too, and wondered about the distance you go on them?

They are 700x25. I'm not the right person to ask about comfort yet, as I am still getting used to them. However, what I will say is that the roads don't get bumpier than they do in Glasgow, and it isn't too bad. I have hear 28's are more comfy though.

I think its the same as my other bike, just trying to find out what to expect.

25s are fine for even the worst of potholed roads.

I've been cycling in my bib shorts and short-sleeved top since Sunday. 8 degrees and a very thick mist this morning, but still not cold enough for longs.

Lovely and warm last night on the way home - pity about the headwind making me work harder and sweat more. Averaged 17mph in just under 10 miles, so I was still going some to do that with all of the stopping and starting at lights.
