How about a forum for people to discuss non-cycling matters in an environment conducive to intelligent debate?
We could call it - I don't know - Politics and Life?

Sorry - that was cheeky - I'll buy someone a virtual pint and I'll challenge them to a game of virtual pool (is this what we're supposed to do?)

Seriously the stupidest thread is the peds thread in Commuting which is approaching 40 pages and has got quite nasty in places.

No moderation seems to exist there.

May I point out that this post is inappropriate as it highlights an Apple product - are you deliberately excluding the Windoze Windows options?

What about the comparison of the use of Apple / Windows based MP3 players in these circumstances?

I think that a debate around the merits of proprietary software players and drag and drag players would send the forum into meltdown.

There's two topics of debate you never get into, telling people how to bring up their kids and the Walkman/Zen versus iPod debate.
