The police are a total waste of time and should be kept out of virtually everything or they'll make it worse. I've no time for them at all and unless I was actually witnessing an horrendous attack of some sort, I would rather scrape the eyes out of my head than call them about anything else.

Admittedly by the time they arrived, there was nothing to see.

At least the other guy phoned them too, so they will have something to go on at least.

The fact that someone has left a fight to arm themselves and then return is a premeditated act of aggression and ramps up the severity of the offence
