I don't know if it's to do with being left-handed, or owt, but from time to time, on the deserted lanes of Northumberland, I find myself tackling hills by riding on the right*. No idea why, it just feels a lot more natural to me

And I enjoy driving abroad too, so again rhs feels nicer

* I do, of course, look out for traffic, but there usually isn't any

Psst - Northumberland is in Europe! ;)

Not really, though

I count the British Isles as being a group of islands off the coast of Europe. That goes politically (for the UK at least) too.

People pass each other naturally on the right. Check out a busy pavement next time you're out. There are always exceptions to the rule, but the general "flow" is always to the right. Shopping mall designers know this and design shop window displays accordingly.

Gotta say I agree with you Fnaar

Took my car to the Netherlands recently on holiday and after the first hour or so, driving on the right felt natural.

Felt weird when I got back to Blighty.
