I haven't had a bath since April 15th last year! Although i've showered nearly every day since.^_^ Though recently i've been skipping that as well, especially with the cold weather which drys my skin, so scrubbing under a shower wont help. I think letting the skins oils do their work instead of washing them away every day is ok. I'm not a sweaty type,in fact i rarely sweat, even on very warm days. If i've been for a ride on a dry cool day i won't bother having a shower. Is this acceptable?

I tried skipping in the shower once but the rope got caught up in the shower head and I ended up on my back with the loofah stuck where the sun doesn't shine...
Not a pretty sight, I can tell you!!

Luckily the prevailing wind usually blows from here, north of Blackburn, towards Accrington.

There are many things to help dry skin, as for showering I would not like to miss a day but seeing as I do excersise every day it is not really an option.

My old dad was being discharged from hospital quite a few years ago, they were arranging for carers to come to the house, help him with his needs. They asked him how often he liked to take a bath and he went a bit quiet; I said, 'he usually has one a month whether he needs it or not..'

We have my MIL staying at the moment; she's 83 and double incontinent. She is not in the habit of bathing or showering at all, which makes for an unpleasant experience despite daily washing by carers.

Nowadays, people seem to be obsessed with having to have showers once or even twice a day! I think it is over the top unless you do a hard manual job. I shower twice a week and I am happy with that. I don't smell and my skin isn't dry. I always shower after a ride or turbo session though. Like the OP, I believe showering or having a bath every day removes the natural oil on your skin. Why buy some stuff to put it back on? Let nature be nature.

Sure it is @Accy cyclist
When we were teenagers we were bathed or showered twice a week and the rest of the time, just had a strip wash in the morning. We didn't stink. When very small, we didn't have a plumbed in bath and it didn't seem to do us any harm and still didn't stink.

I still only shower once a week and strip wash the rest of the time.
