I smell of fish!

No, really, I do.

I have a Stoma bag and every time I eat fish, I stink of it for a day or two afterwards. It comes out my pores and is present in bodily fluids as well as pee and poo.

Is my body simply not absorbing the fish or is it something else and how can I go about fixing the problem? I rather like fish you see.

It happens with even the smallest piece of fish, there seems no limit to what causes it and pre - bag, I never had a problem.

Do different kinds of fish create different reactions?
Some fish smell more 'fishy' than others ie Kippers..

They all seem the same, but seeing as I usually eat either Haddock, Salmon or Tuna, I cannot honestly say for sure.
Prawns also stink too.

I thought fish were plants and thus, like chicken, they could be eaten when vegetarians felt like it?

God forbid, what? I have had periods in my life where I have not eaten meat and fish and I still will take the veggie option sometimes.

The thing is, I like fish, but I do not eat it very often because of the effect it has on me.

Can't help but if it's any consolation I find my pish sometimes smells of stuff I've eaten recently (including fish and chicken); not sure if this is natural or a side effect of my potentially compromised liver..

Isn't it banana flowers or something like that? I've definitely been in a vegan bar that had a "fish and chips" equivalent.

It is only fish that has this extreme effect on me, although with my stoma output (crap), I can definitely smell certain other things I've eaten.
