I've a lovely 531st of that era, 62cm frame. Superb bike and very quick despite its weight. Roberts built me a Columbus tubed bike that is very stiff, specced for hill climbing. OTOH my 531 framed bike was too flexible.

Luckily that frame is too small so there is no temptation! Besides, I wouldn't want to go out in the rain on it..

ooooooooooo that's so nice I actually think its excellent value, problem is if I bought it I would have to swap it to period campag so theres another £500 at least.

Well, Campag would be more fitting, but I wouldn't kick it out of bed for having Shimano!!!

If you had the time and the patience, I'm sure you could make a few bob on that by waiting for something like an old Roberts or Hitchin with full Record or Super Record groupset to come up on ebay, swap all the parts over, and resell both.
