I apologise in advance if, as a result of my actions, any of you have a run in with an irate cabbie today.
They really do get very upset if you dare to touch their precious cabs, I mean all I did was give it a gentle slap on the door as he tried to squeeze past me forcing me into another lane, rather than wait. Queue an emergency stop in front of me and the old git jumping out and grabbing me by the scruff of the neck and raising his fist at me. So I smiled and told him to give it his best shot, my hands still on the bars. I think it then dawned on him that stopping in the middle of Trafalgar Square to punch a cyclist that is making no attempt to defend themselves, was probably not the smartest thing to do, given the place was full of people getting ready for Armistice Day, including police and service personnel.
So he called me a “see you next Tuesday” instead and got back in the cab.
Was quite funny really, though I do worry about him, he looked like he was about to explode and keel over.
