I think I'm getting old

Have you done something recently which made you feel old?

I decided to get a 0% credit card for a possible bike purchase.

Filling in the online application, there was a choice of designs.

It was Virgin, and among the designs was that album cover.

The idea of having 'bollocks' on my credit card didn't appeal, so I made my choice based on the plainest colour which would give the best contrast with the embossed numbers.

Years ago I'd have thought a Sex Pistols album cover on a card was really cool, and I could have read the numbers at several paces whatever the colour of the background.

Applying for that card made me realise I am getting old.

Realising that my stepdaughter is now twice as old as her mum (my ex) was when I met her ... How did THAT happen!

Yes i have..i went into peterborough town centre on Saturday night to meet up with some work colleagues..
i arrived early at O'neills bar and found it was out of bitter but lots of larger and other rubbish in bright colours..lots of stupid girls screeming coz they had a drink in their hand or something..
I stayed 25 mins as the others hadn't arrived..
anyhow i got a taxi and went to my local where i had a great evening with good people good beer and a cracking band...left the pub at 12,30..
So glad im old enough to know a shoot night in the offing and just leave..age can be a good thing and i probabley saved myself 50 quid too

Realising that both our sons are older than I was when me and my Good Lady started.

Realising that both our sons are older than I was when me and my Good Lady started.

Our eldest is over in fact well over twice the age we were when we started, still see no reason to feel or act old though.

The more I tell myself I am still yound the more I believe it.
