Think yourself lucky - a lad I went to school with was 80% bald by the age of 17! :okay:
Same for a mate of mine 'Tez' Wooton looked like he had a Tonsure at 17.

I think i've mentioned this one before but it's worth a laugh so i'll repeat it. The other year i was out cycling on a warm sunny night. There i was with my skintight jersey, hugging my pro racer figure^_^, tanned arms and legs looking the part. I approached a group of young ladies. They started smiling at me but as i got closer i heard one of them say Oh my god, he's f.ck..g ancient!!

I had pretty much the same thing. A young woman leaned out of the window of a passing car and shouted "Hey, sexy bum" (I do not have one, she was just being silly!), closely followed by something like "Bloody hell, he's old"!

Realising, 32 years on, that we and our friends are now the old people the village was full of when we moved in.

Amazingly cyclical. Approximately 32 years ago about 8-10 young couples moved in to the same village in 12-18 month period. The neighbours seemed old, no kids around, very quiet, local school struggling etc. 30 years on a full generation has been born, raised, educated and left, leaving us to be the old folk. BUT we are not and can still party with the best - just takes 3 days to recover!!

Hope I die before I get old

Realising that my stepdaughter is now twice as old as her mum (my ex) was when I met her ... How did THAT happen!
I mentioned that to stepsprog today and she got slightly indignant, and said that she is 32 NOT 34! I knew that, of course, but I met her mum shortly after her 17th birthday so there isn't much in it.

They have an internal social media thing at work. Yesterday I saw a conversation about selenium and cucumbers and jars. This is the language that developers speak these days. I got despairing looks the other day for asking what Jenkins is. Barely a week goes by without me hearing yet another new techie word that everyone else it seems has been using for years and I'm hearing for the first time. Hadoop Big Data was another one they were bandying about the other day. I despair. At least I only have 99 weeks to go before I can walk away from it all.

I was on a midweek club ride ride last week, I was telling someone I felt old as my eldest has just had his 40th, his reply, "I was talking to one of my ex pupils he had just turned 70" so I asked his age he is 76 the pupil was in one of his classes as he started on his teaching career.
