IE is pretty crap. But I just live with it. It helps if you set your homepage to "blank". ;-)

Seriously though, FF runs a lot quicker than IE.

Often it does but you can still get issues with it, which I suspect are down to Microshaft deliberately trying to make it not work with their OS.

I use firefox and two pc's running xp.

Tools | Manage AddOns | Accelerators | Disable all.

Tools | Internet Options | Tabs/Settings | When a new tab is opened, open | Your first Homepage (Google UK is mine).

Those IE8 accelerators accelerate shag all unless you use them for their intended purpose.

I tried this and it sped up my browsing too! Microsoft invent accelerators that slow down your computer, who would have thought it! ;0)
