A fellow blogger has named his new, special carbon bike, the Unfat Machine, i'd like to give my new, special bike , a quirky name along the same lines too, then get a sticker or 2 made up.
SLEIPNIR: Old Norse name meaning "gliding; smooth." In mythology, this was the name of Odin's grey, eight-legged steed, the greatest of all horses which could traverse either land or sea.
KIWIDINOK: Native American Cheyenne name meaning "of the wind."
N+1.... or whatever number is applicable in your case.
Like Fnaar above, I don't name my bikes. They get names like 'Bedford bike' for my wife's purposes because if I said 'the Aravis' she'd be none the wiser.
Names have to mean something for you. Not sure anyone else can suggest one that does that, except by chance. So how about Pino? The shortened form of Giuseppe and applicable to a Pinarello too methinks.
I spent a lot of time designing a logo I could use for my last build project, then not applying it to the bike anyway after deciding I just wanted to keep it as "stealthy" as possible. I think I'll use it on any future builds though, it's a variation of my name.
They'll all be named after figures/things from Norse mythology, as I have tattoos of the same theme so it kinda fits in with me
