Put a front 'guard onto my eyeletless Alpina carbon fork, dooya fink it'll be OK to lash the plasticy bit at the end of the wire stays on the 'guards onto the bit above the axle drops wiv a ziploc cable tie thingy?

Surely the guard is held in place by the eye at the top of the blade that fits behind the front brake caliper, the wire arms coming off the back of the blade just stop it flopping about as you pedal along.

Any suggestions, I don't want race blades, as I have a perfectly serviceable mudguard, but no eyelets on the end of the fork.
