There's 2 types of Doc manufacturing now...

All the cheaper ones, that fall apart after a few years are made in Thailand or somewhere like that.

You can still get the super high quality traditionally made, Made in England boots.

The price difference though is £60 vs £200.

But if the England ones last 10x as long, then I guess it's worth it.

Yep, so shop assistants not watching can tell if you're trying to run off when trying them on...

That's the thing, you're not paying a premium to give them your business.. you're paying the online retailer the lesser cost BECAUSE they don't have to be somewhere like a shop to actually physically take the product yourself and ask the questions about the stuff the copy and pasted product descriptions don't tell you online.
The point is you, the purchaser, are paying more than you would if you shopped around and took the lowest available price, so, yes, in fact, you are paying a premium. As the purchaser, your interest is in product and price. The sellers circumstances do not really enter into it - unless you chose to make that aspect part of your criteria. Then, by doing so, you may wish to pay a certain premium off the lowest available price in order to meet that selection criteria.
