In addition, when I went into Fareham town centre just now on my way home to do a bit of shopping, I had to chain the bike to a lamp post because all the cycle parking was full ... that is absolutely unheard of!

Haven't spotted that big blue helmet in the Fareham area. Do you wear a different one for commuting?

Whereas the approach to Sheffield station from the north takes you through an old abandoned station covered in graffiti (Attercliffe), deserted old steel sidings covered in weeds and then finishes narrow dirty stone-walled enclosure that looks like it's fallen out of a Dickensian novel.

What's the scaffolding for in Rotherham 'Central' then? I thought it was just a dingy sunken brick built place that was forever flooded.
