Same as Scotland then!I went there in 1985 for a short holiday. It was in July and one day it reached over 60F, if i remember rightly i was told by a local it was considered to be a "heatwave"!

Last year we saw Sigur Ros live twice, fantatsic.
As TVC said in an earlier post very friendly people, utterly stunning scenery. As we are walkers we have waterproof gear so we put our hoods up and walked directly into a waterfall and just stood there under the raging torrent, brilliant fun

Some of the kids at my daughter's sixth form are just back and she said there were lots of photos of the Northern Lights! She's very jealous, and I must admit it is somewhere I would like to go.

On my bucket list "see the northern lights".
.Nice looking hotel, we stayed in Hveregerdi just down the road from Selfoss, lots of stuff to see in that area, you will want to go back.
We are currently planning to br in Reykjavic for new year 2015/16.
