Yep, mine was 15 mins quicker and even had a bit of sun

What if its a hill and a head wind.. it was seriously hard going in some places and then going downhill it was a good 5 mph than normal. I've had 2 weeks of doing long distances for me... so my legs are very achy.

Don't know about that, probably hit the granny ring and struggle.

Even worse ... I went to get the bike out this morning and the P***** fairy obviously paid a visit (can't see the offending item at the moment) ... no time to fix now ... so I know what I'm doing after work.

At least I have the second bike for just such emergencies.

Had one on Monday I had to fix during my lunch break - it was a self sealing patch (free with my pump) I'd put on the previous week that had come off. I'll be sticking with glue in the future

I don't like self adhesive patches either. Old school patches for me.

In complete contrast to yesterday, today was beautiful: blue skies, calm, little bit of mist in the trees, Autumn colours. I went real slow just so I could take the time to appreciate it all. And did an extra couple of miles round the lake near work ..

A word to the wise on the self-adhesive patches: they're much fussier about the tube being really clean - rub vigorously all round with the hem of your t-shirt - but go easy on the sandpaper...a *very* light abrasion is plenty.
