Ideas for a large homemade plant pot or planter

If you mean planting it in the ground,i want to be able to take it with me if i move house.

A month is a fairly short time for becoming so attached to a plant.

Garden centres usually have a good choice and unlike buying online you can see and pick them up so it would be easier to make a decision.

Buy some treated decking boards and build one..
I made a 6feet by 3feet and 2feet deep in my garden for the potatoes..cost about 25quid

Cost more to fill it lol

I've just had a look in the skip in the local cemetery. You can sometimes find binned stuff that is useful I couldn't find anything, though i did find something in the waste bin.I found a little plant pot holder,about 9 inch by 5 inch in an old bath style. I've put it on my dad's grave. Better than just being thrown away.

Get a root control bag (google is your friend) and you can dig tree up when you move. As a one-time woodman, used to make 'em from chicken wire and hessian, but I think they're about a tenner. Trees are best kept in soil in the ground; pots need water and don't get enough oxygen/ nutrients.

Ok sure. Sorry I missed that. Pheasant feed barrel cut in half? Holes in the bottom and should last a lifetime. A bit Bob Flowerdew, but if you like blue...

Shame you're not local. Might have been able to get you an aircraft tyre - they can be very battered though having seen end of useful life both on a plane then as a tug fender. This is one of the small ones, the big ones are around 4' diameter.

How about a canoe or rowing boat?
If all else fails, you could paddle it to your new house, if it's near a river..

Use one of those big brightly coloured bucket shaped containers that people use to store kids toys in.
