Ideas to Improve Sport

Not making actual sports better but please lycra shorts with mesh at the back should be banned. I was stuck in traffic behind a road cyclist whose shorts had a central strip of what has stretched into see through mesh. I followed the guy for over 5 minutes down country roads in couldn't safely pass him.

Do such actually exist or was it a pair pass their best?

Back in 1986 when the World Cup was played in Mexico, we used to hear the Aztecs had a similar game, and either the winning side or the losing side had their heads chopped off after the game. We should bring that back. After a season there would hardly be any football teams left, and definitely not after the second season.

Things are going backwards in some sports. There used to be pit girls in Formula 1 racing. They were good looking girls, but the powers that be decided it was sexist or something.

I think they were a real thing as in mesh from new. They were certainly a real thing with mesh in a dodgy place. The guy had all the latest gear, fancy carbon aero bike with loud, clicky gearing, out front computer mount with fancy, smancy GPS on it. Clothing looked immaculate, apart from the actual mesh in that indiscrete location. It did however match up to a similar venting straight up the back too IIRC. So whilst I know lycra can get a bit thin and see through, an actual mesh is a definite thing not wear.

It was a very hot day in the heat of the sun and I can see how mesh would be a good thing when on a bike in those high temps, i just would not go for the matching shorts vents at the back.

TBH I am straight male and do not find lycra a good look for anyone including the ladies. And even worse when walking around off the bike (with that pant liner padding look that is.

Meanwhile all drivers to wear bikinis and high heels when driving!! Ten second penalty if they fimish the race with a broken heel. It would make pitstops to change their 6" heels out a new thing to time and put the stats on the screen for.

PS I do not watch F1 at all so this would not affect me and only make me more certain that I would avoid it with more and more.
