He was'nt a young bloke and whilst we were chatting he was telling me about his touring exploits on a Dawes Ultra Galaxy he also gave me the name and directions to another bike shop that sold Trek & Specialized bikes to compare sizes and see if they had anything that was more suited to me before i made a decision on buying the Kracken

But what's he doing working in Halfords, he should be in a decent LBS ;)

Sounds like you got good advice, and if the bike fits nicely and is what you want, go for it.

You could always cover the pink writing later if it really gets to you.

If you do get it don't forget the matching gloves

From what I've been told (by various LBSs), the main difference is that ladies on average have longer legs for a given overall height than blokes ;), so nothing to be ashamed of.

I see your point about the pink, but again, as they say, are you man enough? ;)
