Just got this old beauty and can’t see a maker’s badge/decal anywhere, save what could be a red herring in the form of the ‘Tour Of Britain’ sticker on the headset. The hub dates it to 1948, the saddle is a Mansfield Eclipse 3BN, Dynamo front hub and 3 speed S/A gearing. I spent a little time on the net looking at chain rings, to me it’s very much like a Hobbs of Barbican, but I could be very wrong.
Any ideas as to make/model, please? Thanks in advance.

Anything stamped on the frame? Seat lug, rear dropout, bb.

Apologies, forgot to add this picture earlier. Not a great deal of help, but some sort of frame number I’d think. Also would think sticker isn’t original?

Time to lose a couple of hours trawling through the Veteran Cycle Club online catalogue library, to see if you can find something where the details such as the lining and lugwork match up. Don't do this when you are busy, it takes longer than you might think!

Haha, most definitely. Did the same with a fairly recent tricycle purchase, but struck lucky as found out what it was (1939 Harding) within an hour or so. Got to love the internet!

Well, tyres pumped up last night and kept pressure. Chain (badly) oiled just now. Let’s find out live:

B&W picture about 1.5 miles in, colour one about a mile later.
Won’t be a long run, about half way now. The iPod is going off as I can hear the buzzards nearby.
