I haven't put this on the EV owners thread as non owners may have researched and decided "NO". I would like your thoughts as well.

EV because of my very low mileage.
Corsa as my wife had a petrol auto which was nice (my daughter has it now). I am open to other makes.
So... ......
If if if I go for it i want........
Year 20ish
Mileage 20Kish
Budget.... I guess £10K ish.
Good spec'
Main question is, are there any inherent/expect faults i should be aware of?
Any other (sensible) thoughts welcome.
Thanks

Its essentially a 208 EV underneath. The 208 has been around longer in two forms so you can research them for more info.

If you have “very low mileage” do you really need a car at all? Could you use taxis/family and save money?

Thought of that. I have decided that with my health at the moment it's best to keep it.
Plus my daughter and SiL have use of it if/when thier car has a problem (as it did all last week) so it helps on those occasions.

Got to be better than the ICE version.

Hired a dual control one last week. Possibly the worst car I've driven this century: clutch biting point was somewhere near where my knee hits my chin, gear change was as sloppy as a week old trifle, the steering wheel is connected to the wheels via a box of rubber bands and the handbrake hadn't been relocated for right hand drive. I presume the garage were running it as a hire as it had been refused by a customer.

Most of those issues will be overcome by choosing the EV version.

A friend of mine has recently bought an ev-Corsa from our local Vauxhall dealer and loves it - two weeks prior to buying it he spent half an hour bending my ear about why ev's are a bad thing

If I remember correctly his is a 2021 model, under 20k miles, looks in really good nick and he got change from £8k (including the trade-in on his old petrol Peugeot 206). The 8 year battery warranty carries over to his ownership. He showed me an app he has on his phone which details what it costs to charge it and the average is around £2.50 (off-peak at home) 3 times per week. He has used a public fast-charger once and it cost about £30 but I don't know how many miles he'd done.
