I've never met Ian so I wouldn't class him as my 'buddy'. However, he posts a great deal of sense on these forums which I agree with, hence I 'Like' it. Though I believe he's a Chelsea fan which proves that we all have flaws.

Like the NHS, people will only REALLY appreciate the BBC, and mourn its loss, when it isn't there any more. Yes, it produces an awful lot of mindless drivel, but it also produces top quality TV, film and radio.

You don't have to. It's just that people aren't educated in the area of what they're trying to enforce, thus handing over money. It's a bit like 'council tax'... you don't have to pay it, but people do because they're scared.

There must be tens of thousands of people unjustly convicted for failing to have a TV licence. Where have they all gone wrong and what have you done to highlight these injustices?

I never used to have a problem with paying for a TV licence, but since the BBC is hell bent on creating content purely for the 'online only' market, who do not pay towards it, then I am afraid to say that the sooner the tax is abolished the better.

a handful of TV shows
I also check the news website quite often (god knows why, but i do)

For me it is worth the money.

A few years back i went to the science museum, as i chucked a couple of quid in the perspex donation box a bloke behind me informed that i didn't have to pay as it was free ........... it wasn't you was it ?
