Mrs Vernon was bitten by a spider two days ago. She's the first person that I know who has been bitten by a native species spider.

My ex husband was bitten by one once, one of those great big ones you get indoors in winter. He was removing it on my behalf whilst i whimpered in distress. He used the cup/card mehod of spider removal after that.

It's very rare for spiders to bite. They usually only do it if they're pressed down. That's not to say they won't bite in other circumstances, just that it's very rare.

I was up a very big ladder once and a spider went coasting by me using the air thermals . Clever little thing I thought .
What I actually thought was he was using a spidey parachute and if I had my spidey pants on I could have joined him but I don't tell people that version .

When you are being attacked by a spider you take a rolled up newspaper and whack it, this technique does not work with cream cakes.

Why would you want to attack a poor defenseless cream cake !! What did they do to you ?
