There are some very sick people around. I hope these get caught and as the soldier was injured (knocked unconscious) can they also be charged with GBH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just read it on the local rag's website, so sorry if I cross posted it to the general forum before seeing this. Dreadful incident on a stretch of the path I know well. It's straight at that point so you can get a bit of speed up. I'm only glad he wasn't seriously injured - it could have easily been fatal. It's near where I encountred some annoying chav kids on a moped a few weeks back.

My normal route as well....i presume they were after the Trek?....It makes me so mad all BtoB commuters will have to be very diligent in future. I have been commuting for some 6 years on this route and thankfully incidents have been few, I have had stones thrown and a bottle of cider (think it was cider did not stop to taste!) dropped close to me on the bridge approaching Mangotsfield Station....it does not put me off as I love cycling but it makes me very aware of the imbeciles who will do anything to impress their mates or just for a laugh..this time of year I tend to use the clapped out old hack bike!!...certainly not the new bike being built for me on the cycle2work scheme at the moment....no that can stay locked up until the spring
