Must be about 6 years since I gave up. Can't remember the date but I remember it was a Tuesday...strange that I remember that ;)

Giving up ciggies was the best thing I've done, but now I'm one of the converted I can't stand being in an area where people are smoking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm down to ten a day ;)

It was easy getting that far, but them last ten are the enjoyable ones and proving really hard to stop. I've decided on a quit day in February when I have the plaster off my wrist. I may be a bit grumpy, so apologies in advance :becool:

DON'T GIVE UP! You will become a self righteous boring old ba..ard always complaining about the smell of smoke and you will probably learn how to purse your lips in that cats bum sort of way when you see a butt on the floor.

Much better to feed an addiction which costs a fortune and controls your day:rolleyes:. BTW one benefit of quitting is that it improves circulation as such increases blood supply to all areas of the body, so your hands and feet don't get as cold and you'll not be wanting viagra ;)

Of course its good to give up . But if you have ever been a smoker then the social aspect of smoking is very enjoyable.Whether it is the pint and fag brigade or sharing a smoke with the boss, there is usually a humourous discussion that follows and you hear the best jokes.
We all usually come to our senses after a few years of smoking but if you are an ex-smoker then what I said above is probably recognisable.

Gave up 12 years ago, after smoking for 11. I lapsed and had half on Millennium Eve - which made me turn a whiter shade of pale and nearly chuck up  Sometimes I dream I've smoked a cig and wake up feeling gutted, until realising it was just a dream...

Good luck!
