Here for rides.
If you've been on here long enough, you'll 'understand' Boris. ^_^

As for fixed, fixie, freespeed, single speed, single gear, etc, etc, it doesn't really matter, we're all cyclists, some like to feel elitist, while others just smile & let them go their own way, it harms nobody.
I'm not a cyclist. I'm a human person that rides a bicycle from time-to-time.

Monogearists believe in one Cog and then fall out with each other in the battle to represent the one and only true Cog. Pangearists believe in Cogs. (Agearists, of course, simply walk everywhere.) For the record, I'm a fervent pangearist.

I ride a fixed, don't call it a fixie you'll upset me, a single speed is wot I rode as a kid, when I didn't know any better. ^_^

three wheels on my wagon
surely a fixed gear is a single gear by its nature unless you include reverse which makes it a two gear? (I had that option when I rode a fixed gear trike, great for showing off in the pub car park) but a single gear can be a fixed gear or a single gear with freewheeling hub. so should it be fixed gears and freewheelers? It all gets very complicated and I'm getting a head ache now.

For the record I too have always rode fixed not a fixie. and my trikes were the traditional style, not recumbents or what ever but that is a different debate.
