I don't actually watch it but it is quite good fun to see the press feedback as it progresses.

Some people come out of it amazingly well. Tony Blackburn comes to mind. He was a bit of a joke figure going in and a national treasure coming out.
Then it can go the other way. Gillian McKeith went in a popular Doctor, presenter and diet authority. Came out a complete fraud and joke.

Others come through as far more interesting than their screen persona and other far less.

If they got it down to 5 minutes a day I would watch but the endless hours and gross games are a bit much.
And surely now every contestant will know what they are letting themselves in for?

They're not having much luck this year.
First the useless Essex woman leaves after doing the square root of naff all. No great loss to anyone.
And now my favourite to win has had to leave due to a family death.
The producers need to parachute some new blood in fast.

Not particularly looking forward to that. She's a bit of a one-trick pony; strident and opinionated. I'd rather it was someone who comes in and we see some previously unseen aspect of their personality. That's why I was enjoying watching Craig Charles who seemed genuinely interesting

I hope they get him back next year for a second go, as he came across as a rounded person who's seen lots of life and offered interesting conversation, not like the one dimentional characters that are left.
The way he managed the situation with both those younger women was admirable.

I can't believe they are getting somebody who hasnt even won X factor to go into the jungle, must be struggling if thats the celeb's they are getting in

He doesn't seem to be, laughed when he turned down his turn at the night shift though
