It’s official, I fear middle age has kicked in but surely I’m not the only one who can’t wait for Tuesdays when I get to watch the lovely Mr Hollywood be marvelously brutal about the state of the “snap” in someone’s crackers.

It’s onto the semi-finals next week and I’m desperately hoping one of them drops their cakes again and serves them up covered in green carpet fluff!

So, the big question is who’s going to win? I’m throwing my hat in the ring and going for the tartan tank top wearing James.

Anyone else hooked ?

Sadly, yes.

Tartan tank top boy I feel is too random to win and will come unstuck.

Brendan will win I think.

I'd like to see the law student bloke do well - I think he knows what he's doing but seems to lack confidence in his own ability - he needs to be told to really go for it.

His Coliseum last night was a truly impressive erection.

It's great! As some will know I have an obsession (sort of) with baking so absolutely love watching the show.

I think it will be Brendan to win but that thing he created on Tuesday was a tad OTT...he has great ability but it's just sometimes his presentation is a little off.
I'm hooked as well.

I'm equally fascinated and repelled by Paul Hollywood's hair and beard - surely that can't be natural can it?

Mary Berry is a classic in her own lifetime, Sue Perkins (should be somewhere else being funny again, but what the hell) is good and the other one whose name I can never remember is jolly nice as well.
It has to be faked, no one has that colour difference.

I like Mary, but how old is she? she looks well past 100 :birthday:

Love it. Think Brendan will win although I'm not a fan.

I am, however, a fan of Mary's Soggy Bottom.

Yeah, I know what you all mean but he has been the most consistent. I'd like others to win but we'll have to see...only a couple of weeks to go- what will we do on Tuesday nights? Ride a bike perhaps?!!

brendan deserves to win even if he is stuck in the 70's - however that birdhouse was pathetic compared to the colleseum and the ramshackle barn last night.

will be a good final

This is my absolute favorite program of the week. I was gutted for poor Catherine last night, but the writing was on the wall from the outset, everything just went wrong for her.
I'd put my money on James, I think Brendan is great but his stuff can be a bit old fashioned and.... fussy. Mind you, I thought the comments were a bit harsh on his gingerbread bird house, although I see what Mary meant about the shreddies for the roof, and the construction was simple compared to some of the others.
James really pulled it out of the bag when his plan went awry. That's why I think he'll win.

Despite liking James for the win I thought his barn looked like he was covering up a bit of a baking screw up. I know it was supposed to look like it did but it wasn't to my taste - i'd still have eaten it though ^_^
The colleseum really was quite spectacular and I'm glad he managed it without any finger chopping!

But he is a bit of a geek.
